A collaboration of American and Italian young artists: Travel, collaborate, perform and learn. The International Music Project is an initiative spearheaded by Carroll University that brings together musicians from the United States and Italy to learn from one another and to foster goodwill, understanding and musical growth.
Travel and Learn Members of the Carroll Wind Symphony travel annually to Italy, where they join with musicians from Italian conservatories to rehearse and perform in a number of concerts. While in Europe, the students reside with host families, providing students with an immersive experience. The trip qualifies as a Cross-Cultural Experience (CCE) for Carroll students.
Collaborate and Perform Students from other universities and from Italian conservatories journey to Carroll University each year to rehearse and learn alongside Carroll students, culminating in a performance.
Grow Through these collaborative, immersive experiences, students become better musicians, develop cultural awareness and understanding and often forge deep connections with one another.
